Now Hiring: Vice President, Marketing

Position Overview

The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for driving the growth and development of the ONPS e-commerce and catalog efforts, with ownership of the P&L. This involves identifying and prioritizing growth strategies, forecasting growth and developing plans to meet goals, managing and optimizing marketing spending, and overseeing branding and identity work. The ideal candidate will have worked for a multi-channel retailer and been involved in marketing, e-commerce, and catalog operations. In-depth, hands-on e-commerce experience is a must.

The VP should be an experienced manager, capable of working with a mix of junior and executive-level employees. At ONPS, you will be managing a team of five, including the Director of E-Commerce, a Content & Merchandising Manager, Retention & Loyalty Manager, and production resources. You will report directly to the founder and CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy and financial management/forecasting
  • In conjunction with the CEO, development of a brand vision and its translation to e-commerce, catalog, and PR efforts
  • Ownership of marketing acquisition activities, including affiliate and search engine marketing, email, and social media
  • Oversight of site merchandising and user experience development, including promotion planning
  • Catalog creative and circulation planning
  • CRM and customer data management
  • Ownership of relationships with key service providers, including design agencies and other external resources

 

Requirements

  • Energy, passion, and a drive to succeed as part of a team
  • Agility in switching between left brain and right brain thinking
  • Minimum five years of e-commerce leadership
  • Experience with natural products or pet supplies a plus
  • BA degree in a related field, including marketing, business, or finance
  • Proven ability to set priorities and administer budget to established goals; track record of driving strong business results and ROI
  • Strong ability to analyze and leverage data to drive consumer insights and strategic planning
  • In-depth exposure to customer experience management, search engine marketing, and content development
  • Familiarity with catalog planning and circulation
  • Experience in multichannel marketing and data management preferred
  • Proven people manager capable of developing employees and optimizing organizational effectiveness

Now Hiring: Director of Digital Marketing & Acquisition

Position Overview

The Director of Digital Marketing & Acquisition is a vital role for Only Natural Pet Store, responsible for developing marketing and acquisition strategies to fuel its online business. You will oversee search marketing (SEO, PPC) and affiliate marketing, and manage the broader portfolio of advertising, marketplaces, social media, and other acquisition initiatives. Overall, you will formulate strategies for effectively acquiring and reactivating customers in an on-brand and cost-effective manner.

To be successful, you will be a versatile marketer with hands-on e-commerce experience, capable of optimizing the marketing mix to best suit the company’s products and audiences. You will need to be comfortable managing budgets and analyzing performance, including conversion optimization, and evolving strategies accordingly. As a plus, you are familiar with international e-commerce. Overall, you are driven to ensure that Only Natural Pet Store attracts qualified shoppers who will appreciate the quality and innovation behind the brand and become its advocates.

This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing. Additionally, you will work closely with the Content & Merchandising Manager, copywriter, and 3rd-party service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the portfolio of digital marketing activities and their evolution
  • Manage Search Engine Optimization, paid search, and related keywords and campaigns
  • Use web analytics to monitor and manage website and campaign performance
  • Plan and manage online marketing budget
  • Develop recommended approaches to managing acquisition efforts in house and/or in tandem with 3rd-party resources
  • Create online marketing with agency and internal resources
  • Source content for posting on the website and through social media and partner channels
  • Identify and manage strategic partnerships to attract new prospects and audiences
  • Research, track and understand online influencer/thought leadership sites; stay in tune with relevant social media trends
  • Provide regular campaign performance and strategy reports to internal stakeholders

 

Requirements

  • BA in marketing, business, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in acquisition marketing within an e-commerce organization
  • Experience establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monitoring their performance
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing PPC and/or SEO campaigns, including creative and A/B testing and landing page conversion optimization
  • Expertise creating and managing robust, channel-by-channel budgets
  • Experience with social media and community development
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work with senior management to evangelize and gain approval for recommended strategies
  • Strong desire to innovate and keep abreast of new trends in search and acquisition marketing

Now Hiring: Web Production Designer

Job Overview:

The Web Production Designer role is a key part of the Marketing team, responsible for designing and producing web pages, banners, emails, and other online content. Daily tasks consist of producing this content from pre-designed templates as well as some creation of original designs. To be successful, you will be self-motivated with the aptitude to be productive in a fast-pace environment where success is measured by quantity and quality. In addition you will always be looking at ways to evolve your designs and your skills. And although you’ll focus on the visual design, you’ll push yourself to anticipate the impact of your designs on the user and IT resources.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with members of the Marketing team to identify, schedule, and produce designs
  • Manage production schedule and communicate timelines to Marketing under the guidance of Merchandising and Content Director
  • Create visual designs for web pages, banners, and emails, some from pre-defined templates and some original work
  • Present designs to Marketing partners and executive management
  • Where appropriate, develop wireframes to guide the development process
  • Manage and adhere to the company style guide (in process)
  • Update and create labels for Only Natural Pet proprietary products

Requirements:
  • BA or BFA in design or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of design experience, preferably in e-commerce
  • Experienced in HTML; CSS a plus
  • Exposure and/or experience in Responsive Design helpful
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and CS products
  • Experience creating wireframes and working on multistage projects
  • Ability to manage a large volume of projects and work under deadline

Salary Range:  $25 - $35,000 DOE
