What are the benefits of Gentle Digest?

• Restores digestive balance, alleviates minor constipation and diarrhea
• Aids digestion and absorption of processed pet foods. Pets may also suffer digestive difficulties due to wheat, corn, soy, sugar, and starch commonly added to pet foods.

What special ingredients does Gentle Digest feature?

• Gentle digest contains patented Lactobacillus bacteria sporogenes. These are microencapsulated lactobacillus spores which are resistant to heat and stomach acid. Sporogenes germinate within the optimum growth environment of the intestines to deliver a maximum concentration of viable (live) lactobacilli. Many probiotic products on the market for both humans and pets are useless because they contain virtually no live bacteria.
• Gentle digest also contains fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) from chicory root. FOS are small sugar polymers that serve as preferred foods for lactobacilli, hence encourage their growth.

When should I use Gentle Digest?

• If pets have constipation.
• If pets are taking antibiotics. Antibiotics also kill beneficial bacteria, so Gentle Digest can be used safely along with antibiotics to re-establish digestive balance.
• Use for aging animals who have difficulty digesting and absorbing food
• If pets have occasional diarrhea, flatulence, or foul smelling stools.

Notes:

Healthy Pet Use: Gentle Digest can be used daily for healthy pets. If pets stools become runny or more frequent, use thereafter once or twice a week.

Pets with Digestive Issues: If pets have vomiting, diarrhea or foul smelling stools for more than 2 consecutive days please consult a veterinarian.
