Comments about Doc Ackerman's Botanical Citronella Pet Spray:

Doc Ackerman's Botanical Citronella Pet Spray is a must buy for anyone who lives in an area of the country where there are ticks. I spray my dog every day/every other day and this significantly reduces the number of ticks he picks up. He's also always flea-free. I recommend this product to everyone I know who's a dog parent.

Comments about Doc Ackerman's Botanical Citronella Pet Spray:

This product is very effective if used as directed. I leave it on my cats and dog for 5 minutes and rinse. The effects last about 4 weeks which is the same as spot on treatments. The difference is that this shampoo will repel the fleas unlike the spot on treatments which allow the fleas to still get on your pet and bite before they die. Cons: If the shampoo is not left on at least 5 minutes it does not repel the fleas and condition your animals skin and fur. I highly recommend this product.

Comments about Doc Ackerman's Botanical Citronella Pet Spray:

After having used this product for a few weeks now I come to the conclusion that it doesn't work so great. I bought this to sub for Frontline, and I don't really mind that I have to apply it every time we go outside (about 4 times a day), I just mind that my dog is still getting ticks. The ticks don't seem to mind the smell... I think this works better on mosquitoes than it works on ticks. It only works if you spray A LOT. It also wears off quickly, so if I go for a hike with my dog I either need to apply a lot right before we leave, or I have to reapply.
I have another spray I bought from this site, it's the spice scent one, and that one works! Just watch out, if you're allergic to strong smells, cinnamon oil especially (it kind of burns the nostrils).

Comments about Doc Ackerman's Botanical Citronella Pet Spray:

Husband does not like the smell, but I insist on using this, cause it's natural (won't harm my dog), and it works. Ticks do not seem to touch Cooper, and we use this when we go out to husband's parents' house in the country... I don't really mind the smell, but then I don't really mind the smell of citronella candles either..

I couldn't get my cat to sit still to use the spray on her, but my bunny took it and it got rid of his flees. I also use it on bedding and carpeting and it smells so good, but one problem I found, snails seems to like it and have been entering my home.

Comments about Doc Ackerman's Botanical Citronella Pet Spray:

I own a Female Yorkie who seems to constantly have Hot Spots and Sensitive skin. I've Been using Doc Ackerman's Botanical Citronella Shampoo for the last few months, So I decided to try this Product as well. Combined - the 2 products are very effective and soothing. And adding this one to the mix seems to have helped her with her Hot Spot problems.
It does well as a backup to your normal Flea Medicine Routine.
