It is a good, sturdy adjustable collar. My cat wears the reflective one even though he only goes out on a harness and leash (not a good idea to use a leash with breakaway collars). It does a good job of reflecting light so he is more findable if we get separated in an emergency, but I would not depend on it to protect him from cars. It is wide so his hair doesn't hide it. It does seem a little too stiff and wide for a cat, but maybe it will loosen up in time. The loop is hard plastic (which may get brittle) and is really big (which cats tend to get caught on things). I attached a smaller metal ring instead.

My cats are indoor/outdoor cats that like to go out in the evenings after we get home from work. I feel much better knowing that Harley has a reflective collar - I plan on buying another one for my other cat.

Boo is a completely black, outdoor 11 year old cat whose previous collars (with elastic) were immediately left on fences. This collar releases when needed. I bought the reflective version for obvious reasons. By the way, his vet thought it was brilliant to have the reflective version.

I actually ordered 4 collars with different designs. They work all great but actually one of them was not staying attach to Puffy my smallest cat. I am not sure if it's a defect one because the other one works all great and stay on.

The designs are really nice also and my cats look great!
