As a natural, non-toxic compound, NutriBiotic's Grapefruit Seed Extract Liquid Concentrate has many uses. It may be used as a surface disinfectant in place of commonly used cleaners like bleach or ammonia-based products. Because of its non-toxic nature, the liquid concentrate is ideal for use in the kitchen and in children’s areas. Grapefruit seed extract can be used as a sanitizing wash for raw meat and other foods, dishes, cutting boards, and utensils. The product can also be used to purify drinking water in your pet's water dish, or when camping, hiking or traveling to foreign countries. See Suggested Usage below.

The pH concentrate is about a 2.2 - very acidic. Grapefruit Seed Extract should NOT be used undiluted - always mix with water.

Ingredient Descriptions

Vegetable Glycerin
Inert substance derived from palm and coconut. Used as a carrier for the active ingredient. We use only food-grade vegetable glycerin that tests free of pesticide residues.

More Information on NutriBiotic Grapefruit Seed Extract

Extensive testing done at independent laboratories and universities around the world has proven this concentrate to be safe for human and animal use. It is effective against pathogens because it belongs to a family of compounds known as quaternary compounds. This family is best known for benzylkonium chloride and benzylthonium chloride as well as the infamous Quaternium group, a very toxic antimicrobial preservative used in the cosmetics industry. While Grapefruit Extract is molecularly similar to these compounds, there are some profound differences in structure and function. The extract has tested effective against hundreds of bacteria and fungi, and even some viruses.

Available in a 2 fl oz. bottle.

Comments about NutriBiotic Grapefruit Seed Extract Liquid:

I use it for when in a developing country where amoeba and salmonella are present. Instead of using bleach to rinse food this is safer. Also you can consume it according to directions to protect yourself as well. I also love keeping my dog healthy the natural way... no side effects for me or my pet. I appreciate the reasonable price The Only Natural Pet Store sells this for. But if they want to sell it cheaper, or offer a deal for more than one that would be great too!:)

Comments about NutriBiotic Grapefruit Seed Extract Liquid:

It's acidic so when my cat gets crystals I mix a drop in some food for a day and she's better almost immediately. It tastes terrible so I mix it in food usually but you can put it in water. I've also put it in capsules and used a piller. My cat has skin mites and I'm going to try it on that. It's recommended for virus', bacteria, parisites, mange.

Comments about NutriBiotic Grapefruit Seed Extract Liquid:

Our dog did not like the taste of the Grapefuit Seed Extract so it was difficult to get him to drink it in his water bowl. However I found that if I premixed the drops in small amounts of water and sucked them up in a suringe (without a needle) and squirted the solution in his mouth he would take it that way. He just wouldn't drink it otherwise. But it straightened his stomach out. And he started drinking more water again. Thank You!!! Our dog had drank contaminated river water with Canadian Geese feces in it. I believe he got Giardia by doing this. But I wanted to treat him naturally rather than take him to the vet, or purchase strong products from the feed store. He is doing great!
