Description
Anyone who's ever tried to train a cat, particularly to do something that goes against their will, knows what a challenge that can be. Oh sure, they love us, but when the choice comes down to doing what their loving person wants them to do (please, Cleo, do not scratch the sofa!), or doing what they darn well please, well.... Let's just say that making us happy isn't usually their top priority. And no amount of scolding is likely to get you the results you want when it comes to training cats not to scratch somewhere they have decided is a GREAT place to scratch. Fortunately, we have a solution to help you change your cat's mind - and maybe even let them think it was their idea in the first place.
Only Natural Pet Herbal Scratch Deterrent can stop your cat from scratching your furniture, drapes, carpets, and screen doors the natural way with the effective deterrent of aromatic herbs that cats generally find unpleasant to be around. With their strong and highly discriminating sense of smell, most cats will take a whiff of the garlic and clove aroma of this easy-to-use spray and decide that they have better things to do with their time than scratch whatever area or item you've sprayed.
To get the best results with any feline behavior training plan, it's always a good idea to use the tried-and-true positive AND negative reinforcement approach. Cats scratch instinctively to stretch, stay limber, and keep their claws sharp, so it's best to give them an appropriate alternative for scratching. A scratching post or perhaps even a sisal rope floor mat (rubbed with some aromatic catnip to increase its allure) can fit the bill perfectly. This lets you protect your home from unwanted destruction while being a caring cat guardian and giving your furry friend an outlet for that natural urge to shred something. So forget the sticky tape and squirt guns and let the natural aromatic qualities of clove and garlic help you make your carpet, fabric surfaces and screens safe again.
Available in 16 oz liquid.
