Key to life-long joint health for active dogs of all ages, PetSTEP Pet Ramps prevent stress related injuries that can occur when pets jump down onto front legs.  PetSTEP Pet Ramps also offer compassionate assistance to rehabilitating and senior pets as well as those with special needs such as arthritis, dysplasia, weight issues, or travel reluctance.

Lightweight and portable, these versatile ramps have a non-slip surface with rubber ridges for a secure grip even in wet conditions.  Unlike abrasive sandpaper, PetSTEP’s paw-friendly texture will not wear down, delaminate or scratch you, your pet or your vehicle.

PetSTEP’s durable design holds up to 500 lbs and its rugged construction will stand up to repeated use without the need for mechanical adjustment.

PetSTEP Training Tips:

Some dogs will take to the PetSTEP immediately. For those that don't, we suggest you put the ramp flat on the ground & walk your dog over it (a reward placed on the ramp also helps, or you might try feeding him or her on the ramp once or twice). When you raise the ramp, your pet's favorite treat placed towards the top of the ramp also works the first time.

The first time up the ramp, take your dog by the collar & lead him to the reward. You'll only need to do this once or twice. It is important to take your dog for a ride after he has successfully entered the vehicle.

Comments about PetSTEP International PetSTEP Portable Pet Ramp:

Our 12 year old arthritic dog is unfortunately weighing in at 90 lbs and with my bad back and her weight, not easy to get her into our Volvo SUV. I did quite a bit of research before choosing the 305002 PetSTEP II - Multi-Purpose Ramp and though it is not the cheapest pet ramp it appeared to be exactly what we needed and it is. Extremely sturdy, rests quickly and easily in place, most importantly, easy for our dog to use. It is a bit steep with the Volvo SUV but after a few times, our dog can easily and happily use it. Many of the cheaper ramps used a gritty sandpaper for traction that could easily tear up doggie's foot pads so stayed away from them. This molded plastic ramp allows for stability and easy gripping without tearing up the feet! As a website publisher, I am able to search for specific products from a variety of advertisers and with the new customer discount as well as free shipping, Only Natural Pet was the most economical seller. Free shipping was delivered within a few days so very pleased with overall purchase and transactions! Thanks

Comments about PetSTEP International PetSTEP Portable Pet Ramp:

This product was too short for what I needed. Thought I would be able to use it and save some weight and storage. The big issue came when I realized it wasn't what I needed. It was almost $50 to return the item--almost the cost of the item. So, I'm pretty much stuck with it. Think of the return situation be fore you order.

Comments about PetSTEP International PetSTEP Portable Pet Ramp:

I used this for my 85# German shepherd--my dog is not elderly but has some hip problems and could not jump in/out high SUV easily. This is extremely sturdy & rests very solidly against the vehicle. The training instructions are clear and effective (although my dog is relatively fearless, it might be harder to train an elderly/frailer dog); I was able to train my dog to go on it quite easily: 2-3x & she got it.

The surface is hard and slightly rubbery, as is the point where the ramp contacts the vehicle, so my dog has not slipped even when wet (the only problem was when my dog tried to get on it before I was finished setting it). Muddy footprints are easy to wipe off. It fit behind the 3rd row seat or if the seats were up, I put it under a blanket/dog bed for long trips so we had more space.

It seems heavier than 22# though. College physics was a long time ago, but I think b/c the large size makes it more awkward and increases the lever length which makes it seem heavier or something (college physics was a long time ago). It would be better to have some hand cut outs that oppose each other. I am 5'3" tall, pretty fit although not overly strong, so I think older women or more petite women should know there is some heft to it and might not be for you if you have a bad back or something (my sister prefers minivans for dogs b/c lower elevation, her dog doesn't have to jump so far up and thus doesn't need a ramp although older than mine and with knee problems).
