Fleabusters Unique Borate Powder Has Many Important 'Flea-Killing' Features

  • The Rx for Fleas Plus powder is milled to be extremely fine and is also statically charged.
  • The 'fine' powder allows for easy installation while brushing into the carpet and for light application (very small amounts need to be applied for effectiveness).
  • The 'statically charged' powder provides a clinging effect to carpet fibers. This allows very little to be removed by vacuuming, thereby providing long-lasting protection. It attaches to the flea larvae as they wiggle by. The effectiveness of killing (dehydrating) flea larvae is greatly increased.
  • The Rx for Fleas Plus also has a neutral pH of 7.0. While being very safe for carpets, the neutral pH is actually more important in a pest control sense by not causing the targeted pest (flea) to be repelled from the powder. Roaches, ants, fleas, etc., can sense and avoid an alkaline or acidic substance, but crawl right through the neutral pH material.

Fleabusters Effectiveness Comes With Great Consideration for Safety

  • Borate powders are much safer than most liquid pesticide alternatives.
  • When installed properly, the exposure to people and pets is very minimal.
  • Fleabusters Rx for Fleas Plus is 33% less toxic than pure boric acid powder products!

Fleabusters Powder Provides More Carpet Area Coverage

  • The Fleabusters label identifies the maximum allowable coverage for the container size (3 lbs.). This means in 900 square feet you can't use more than 3 lbs., but you can use less!
  • Fleabusters service company averages less than 3 pounds of powder to treat the average home of living room, halls, stairs, family room and 3 bedrooms - five average size rooms!
  • Because the powder is so fine it only requires a small amount applied everywhere to be effective. More is not better!
  • Only a few microscopic crystals are all that's necessary to kill the flea larvae.

About Borates

Borate is a popular ingredient found in many natural pest control products. It is a material made from Boron; a compound found in nature and used in many everyday products like soap and laundry detergents. Borate is often misunderstood since technically it is a pesticide as it does kill pests; however it is not harmful or toxic to its users like synthetic pesticides are.

In pest control products, borate is found in powder form. This powder serves as an agent that is extremely abrasive to an insect’s exoskeleton and dehydrates it from within. It is effective because the insect cannot build a resistance to it, and it affects insects at all life stages. Results may take a few days to become apparent, but the product will continue to work for up to a year. Borate is odorless, colorless and has no harsh chemicals. Borate products can be applied directly to surfaces, and pose a very low risk to those in direct contact with it when used correctly.

Today using a proven pesticide is of utmost concern to consumers. Fleabusters Rx for Fleas Plus has both federal and state EPA registration (59111-1).

Important Considerations

  1. It is recommended that dust-sensitive individuals not be present during treatment.
  2. Any powder that does not brush in completely must be vacuumed immediately. You may resume normal vacuuming 24-48 hours following application.
  3. Depending on the level of infestation, you may see residual flea activity for 2-6 weeks following application. If such activity occurs, more frequent vacuuming is recommended.
  4. Remove bags from vacuum cleaner immediately after vacuuming and dispose of bags.
  5. Reapplication is necessary following cleaning of treated carpets and/or rugs.
  6. If you have further questions please contact us.

1. Clear Areas for Treatment
Remove all small items such as shoes and toys from carpeted areas, including closet floors and under beds.
2. Cover or Remove
Cover electronic equipment such as VCR's and computers with a sheet or plastic. Cover aquariums and remove all pets. Dust-sensitive individuals should not be present during treatment.
3. Vacuum
Vacuum all carpeted surfaces thoroughly prior to treatment in order to improve the effectiveness of Rx for Fleas Plus. Remove cushions from furniture, clean and vacuum wells.
4. Apply Rx for Fleas Plus
Tilt container carefully as powder will flow freely. Treat one room at a time. Sprinkle powder lightly over all carpeted areas, including closet floors and under furniture. Pay special attention to your pets' favorite resting and walking areas.
5. Brush in Thoroughly
Slowly brush powder into carpet with a push broom. Brush in one direction to evenly distribute powder. Then, us a slow back and forth motion until no visible powder remains.
6. Treat Furniture
Remove cushions from furniture. Sprinkle powder very lightly into wells only. Work powder deep into wells with a hand brush until powder disappears. Remove any excess powder from furniture.

Comments about Fleabusters Rx for Fleas Plus Powder:

When my dog got fleas (the shore was hit so badly one year) we did not want to bomb the house. I investigated Flea Busters powder. It was very fine and I would recommend using a mask. I spread it on the carpets, bed furniture and gently brushed it in with a soft brush. Then we went home to our North Jersey house and did it all over again. It was a lot of work, but it was totally worth it. After returning to the shore home three days later I vacumed it all up and the fleas were gone ( I repeated the process in North Jersey three days later). I was so happy. I washed my dog in Flea Busters dog shampoo and that took care of her. It was not irritating to me or the dog and it was highly effective without causing us or the dog any harm. I would not be without a jar in my cabinet just in case. One canister for about thirty dollars did one house. I highly recommned this product. j

I used this two Fridays before my relatives were due to arrive. After the first treatment,in the next few days I still had fleas. I hired an exterminator to come in. Two times I had to take the cats to my son's garage and take the dog to the groomer for a flea dip and the second time took the dog to the vet. Used Front Line on all pets. Not worth the mess, work washing bedding, etc and vacuuming the carpets.

Comments about Fleabusters Rx for Fleas Plus Powder:

Didn't realize my 8 yr old cocker spaniel was infested with fleas until we took him to the groomer to be groomed. We just moved down to FL from NY and didn't realize that fleas are bad down here. I didn't even know what they looked like until the groomer gave me the bad news. I battled with the darn bugs for weeks by vacuuming daily (sometimes 3x a day), washing things in hot water and had to wear socks over my pants to avoid getting bitten. I had used Borax as recommended by others but did not see results. I came up with a concoction of baking soda and tea tree oil which I noticed killed fleas instantly when i trapped them in a jar. I had flea traps everywhere too. But still I was seeing fleas everywhere jumping on me and biting me. I was avoiding the bombing or having a pesticide company come over since i'm conscious about toxic fumes having a child and a dog in the house. My poor little fur baby was constantly scratching even after giving him Vectra and Comfortis (btw, do not use both medications at the same which our vet told us could be toxic). After more research on the web, I ran into a recommendation for fleabuster. I immediately called the company to send me someone and was skeptical at first but I'm into my 4th week after applyign this product and i have not seen a single flea since week 3.

I bought the powder from this site just in case I need to reapply but I'm SOOOOOOO happy with the effectivenesss so far. If you have fleas, this is your miracle cure!!! Guaranteed!!!! I will recommend this to everyone!

                    Just some points:

Some people saw immediate results. In my case, i saw gradual improvements where I saw a decrease in fleas. During the first 2 weeks, i saw some hatching (including in my car) but kept on vacuuming and finally started to see less and less (even on my dog) and finally on week 3, i kept looking for them and they are nowhere to be found. Don't lose hope if you continue to see them. Just continue the crazy vacuuming and you will see them finally disappear.

Visiting pets brought us fleas some years ago. Same story as many others are telling - we treated our own indoor only cats, bombed, used chemicals, nothing helped. Self-applied fleabusters, most of the population died off in a couple of days and we were flea free in less then two weeks. We were still flea free when we moved out of the house @ 5 years late. Now we've got an infestation in the new house, just applied it yesterday and it's better already.

We had a critter get into our home ducts and it left fleas. Our cat began scratching. She has been receiving systemic flea/heartworm medicine monthly for 3 years. Never had a flea problem until now. Tried bombing myself. Then had professional pest control spray 3 times. Vacuumed every day for weeks. STILL had fleas. Hired a man to clean out the ducts. Fleas still present. Then bought and applied flea buster's product and FINALLY the fleas are gone. We have hardwood floors. I did what was suggested online beating the boric acid into the crevaces of the wood with a new (clean) broom. Moved furniture. Took up throw rugs (after treating them). Left the boric acid undisturbed for 48 hours. Then vacuumed, cleaned base boards, and damp mopped the floor. Today was the first day in 2 months that my "white sock" test did not reveal even one flea! YEAH! THANK YOU! What an ordeal!
