An extra strength formula utilizing the natural anti-inflammatory properties found in Yucca, MSM and Boswellia. Manganese supplementation has been shown to increase superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity. Nutritionally supports dogs suffering from inflammation in tendons and muscles or pain associated with soft tissue damage, degenerative joint diseases or the aging process. 120 tablets.

Overview:
Animal owners are very concerned about whether their pets are suffering and want to alleviate pain as soon as possible.

This formula was designed for dogs experiencing pain and inflammation in BONES and JOINTS, and is a gentle approach to pain management that can be used alone or with most conventional treatments.

Two medicinal desert plants, Yucca and Boswellia, come together from opposite ends of the earth, both having been used for centuries by herbalists to treat inflammation of the joints. Saponins from Yucca and terpenes from Boswellia work together to inhibit prostaglandins, help prevent decreased cartilage synthesis, and improve blood supply to the joint tissue.

For smoother pain control, Licorice and Ginger were added as synergens; each also has anti-inflammatory effects at different receptor sites.

Meadowsweet, milder in action than willow bark, contains an aspirin-like chemical salicin, which inhibits prostaglandin formation and inflammation.

To supply the necessary nutritional building blocks for strong connective tissue Manganese and MSM were included. MSM has proven to have significant pain reducing qualities in both human and animal studies.

The Chinese herb Cornus has been used for centuries to treat low back and knee pain in humans. It also assists in restoring energy to the patient.

What to Expect:
Early signs of relief may be seen in the first week of administration. Begin with the dosage indicated on the bottle; however, dosages can be adjusted according to the needs of the patients.

If animals are currently using NSAIDS, aspirin, or steroids, Canine Pain Plus can help reduce the dosage and eventually wean dogs off the drug medications.

For better results, and to aid joint repair, the addition of appropriate nutrients such as glucosamine, Chondroitin sulfate, Vitamin C, and other GAG producing supplements should be included. Genesis Bone and Joint Formula can be added to facilitate repair and maintenance of connective tissue and bone.

Contraindications
Although no side effects are expected, animals sensitive to salicylates and currently using aspirin should not take this product.

Formulation and Ingredient Summary
Pain in a pet can be cause by inflammation in tendons and muscles, arthritis, soft tissue damage, or the aging process.

Lack of mobility, resistance to petting, and limping are just some of the signs that a pet may be in pain.

The first goal of pain management is, whenever possible, to identify and eliminate the cause of pain.

Please keep in mind that response to herbal remedies varies by individual.  If your pets symptoms worsen or change in any way that concerns you, discontinue use of any supplements and contact your veterinarian.

When introducing any new supplement, it is wise to start with a lower than recommended dose and build up over the course of several days to a week.  Only introduce one supplement at a time.
