I have been using this products for about 3 months or so for my cats chronic diarrhea. It is the only thing I have done for her that actually helps. Instead of having diarrhea every day, she was having every 7-10 days. Then the vet decided to put her on antibiotics and that has totally cleared up the diarrhea and he suggested I keep her on the probiotics for the rest of her life. When she was having the daily diarrhea I tried her on just some acidophilus that I bought at [...], but this spectra product was much more effective. Not to mention it is just good for the pet. So I highly recommend it.

My little male cat has a LONG history of bladder infections with crystals and cystitis. He was just recently at the vet and came back with NO blood/infection in urine and also NO crystals..however he did have a sinus infection so a round of antibiotics was recommended. I asked my Vet what he thought about also using Spectra and he said it would be a good idea so we ordered it right away. Our little guy has been great and his cystisis seems to be under control - I would highly recommend D-Mannnose if cystitis is a problem - remember to always do your research!

We started using this for my 7 yr old german shep, diagnosed with IBD, mostly stomach. Since using the full dosage recommended, he has not vomited undigested food again, and his stool is normal!!!
I plan to keep him on it. It is easy to use, just opening the capsule & sprinkling the contents on his dinner/breakfast.

I have two 8-year old male neutered cats (brothers), both of whom have delicate stomachs and recurring issues with constipation. They're long-haired kitties, so periodic difficulties passing hairballs also aren't uncommon. I started using this product about 6wks ago, and am very pleased with the results. I open the capsules by hand (a little delicate to do, but not difficult), and sprinkle the powder into their wet food; add a few drops of water to help it dissolve, and stir around. Both my cats will reject their food if they detect any change in its taste or texture; no problems with this product! They accept & eat readily. Others have suggested that you start by using a very small amount (a sprinkle), and wait a day or two to see how your pet reacts; increase as needed, but gradually. Excellent advice. You pet's system will need time to adjust; otherwise, a problem like constipation can flip to the opposite extreme (very loose stools), overnight. Mine are big cats (part Main Coon). Though I'm still experimenting with dosage, my 15-lb boy seems to do well with a pinch (less than 1/16th tsp) once or, at most, twice a day. His 20-lb brother needs more -- closer to 1/2 tsp daily. Take your time & don't rush it; their systems do seem to adjust over time. This product makes it possible for me to avoid putting my boys on prescription meds for constipation -- a huge benefit. Its not inexpensive, but well worth the cost!

I started giving this to my 1 year old dog after several trips to the vet for intermittent diarrhea/loose stools with no real answer. I was told she had too much bacteria in her digestive system and after a dose of prescription probiotics from the vet I turned to this as her daily probiotic. I sprinkle one capsule on her food twice a day and it has firmed her stools and seems to have solved her digestive issues. I like that it contains both prebiotics and probiotics.

I started using this product after one of my dogs suffered from a rather severe urinary tract infection and had to be on two rounds of antibiotics. Not only has she been free of infection, but it seems to have a calming affect on both dogs that take it as part of their daily diet.

Both my Shepherd Mix Rescue Dogs like Grass outside that make their stools soft to runny. Since I started giving them 1 pill in the morning,mixed in Peanut Butter on a Biscut, their stools have firmed up. If for some reason, their stools are mushy, I give them 2 pills 1 in the AM & 1 in the PM. Nothing seemed to work for them until I found this Probiotic Product. I would recommend this to anyone.
