A fun product to try. The grasses all grew very quickly, but you really need to monitor the watering to keep mold from growing in the dirt. My cat enjoyed chewing on it even with the tips of the grasses started to yellow.

My kitties are indoor cats now. They need their veggies for digestion and bowels. This helps. Less hairballs and better bowls. They like the taste. This is the solution for my kitties along with laxatone which I am also using now.

I have been giving my cats kitty grass for years, they love it! But I especially like that this comes in a very nice wooden box,now they can enjoy their grass without it tipping over and getting dirt all over! Highly recommend!!!

well i reckon you could just buy a variety of grass seeds & start a lil kitty garden yourself unless you really like the container this one comes with... to me it isnt as ideal as a pot with drainage would be tho it is quite sturdy... my cats are always sniffing at my house plants & will sometimes try a nibble so i thought this might satisfy their desire for a bit of vegetation, alas, they just dont want these grasses... that is not to say YOUR kitty wont love them!

My cats love the grass. It grows quickly and comes in an attractive box. The peat and seed refill kits are great too so you can save and reuse the original wooden and plastic containers. It is however difficult to gauge how much to water, seems like I always either have the soil too dry or over water and get mold.

Have two adult house cats. The product picture presents very thick growth of grass; they must have used a double package. Also, due to shallow planting, cats have tenacity to pull grass and soil out of bowl. Otherwise, ok.

I think that this a great product for cats with long thick hair. Hairballs caused serious almost life threatening medical issues for my cat Kozmo last year. It was all due to hairballs. So, when I am able to find a product that will benefit him and reduce Veterian bills; that is a plus for both of us. Kozmo is doing very well now, but I have to still ensure his digestive health functioning properly. So far all the items that I have purchased for Kozmo has really improved his digestive health. Thanks to your company for developing such smart and health conscience food for our loving furry friends.

My cat was in the shelter his whole life before moving in with me and becoming a house cat. I don't think he has even ever seen grass before.

Once the grasses were about 3 inches high, I put the planter where my cat usually hangs out. He didn't seem to notice the grass at all for a few days. I decided to rub a few blades of the grass between my fingers so he could better smell the "green". He took notice, but still didn't seem interested in munching.

I had nearly given up, but then discovered him munching a few blades the next day. By the third day he had turned into a "lawnmower cat". I may have to set the container out of reach and monitor how much of it he eats at once.

The only drawbacks for me were:

1. The little acrylic foot pads that were glued to the bottom (table protectors) came off. They could be reglued with a stronger adhesive or just left off altogether.

2. It was awkward to neatly pour the seeds from their container after removing the packaging.

I'm considering buying a second unit so I'll never run out.
