DOSAGE:

1-20 lbs....................5 drops
21-60 lbs..................10 drops
61-100 lbs.................15 drops
Over 100 lbs...............20 drops
<1 lb: Add 2 drops to 8 oz of water and give 2 drops of medicated water per dose.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Dose medicine directly into the mouth, in water, or at meal/snack time.
Administer one dose 3 times per day, as needed.
In acute cases, one dose every 15 minutes for up to 6 doses may be given.
When improvement is seen, decrease the frequency of dosing. If improvement is maintained, stop dosing after 2 days. If symptoms reappear, repeat the original dose.

ADMINISTRATION:
Optimally, the liquid preparation should be dropped directly onto the mucous membrane of the mouth, including the lips. Ideally in dogs, administer by pulling out the labial pouch; in cats, by raising the head until the mouth opens. Where an animal finds this distressing or an owner is unable to comply, the medication may be placed in water or milk. If a pet is sensitive to the odor of the alcohol preservative, allow 10 to 20 minutes for the alcohol to evaporate before presenting the liquid or food. Occasionally, when dosed directly into the mouth, an animal may shake its head as a response to the alcohol preservative; cats may salivate excessively. In such cases, administering in food, water, or milk may help.

SMALL MAMMALS:
Small mammals such as rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, and pot-bellied pigs can be dosed by weight as listed for cats and dogs on the dosing chart. For severe cases, one drop can be diluted in 1 mL of water or other oral rehydration fluid and administered orally. For example, two drops for a mouse or small bird, four drops for a large guinea pig. In acute cases, dosing may be repeated as outlined for cats and dogs on the dosing chart.
