Himalayan Pet Supply was founded in 2003 by Nishes and Suman Shrestha, who discovered a shared passion for Churpi, a traditional Himalayan cheese. Inspired by the centuries-old cheese-making techniques of Nepal, they spent four years developing a lactose-free, dog-friendly version. Their dedication culminated in the creation of The Original® Himalayan Dog Chew®, which debuted at a pet fair in Bellingham, WA, in 2007, selling out almost immediately and establishing a new category in the pet industry.
Today, Himalayan Pet Supply offers a range of chews and treats distributed to over 5,000 retailers worldwide. They continue to uphold their commitment to quality and social responsibility by partnering with the Manaram Foundation to support education and economic opportunities for women and girls in Nepal.
